James Jude and Jack Jones are two mercenary militia fighters who run their own military group of freedom fighters known as the Blue Rangers. They fight for the independence of the Colonies from the Hand of the Imperium. The Hand are a group of powerfully militarized leaders who seek to take control of the Colonies and ultimately the kingdom, as there has not been a king in Utalma (Yu–tal–ma) for over 200 years. The Hand are currently in control of the world capital city, Erygon (Er–eh–gon) of which the Rangers seek to liberate.In this world, soldiers utilize technologies of both the 18th and the 20th century. Common use weapons of war are muskets, being constructed of wood, and cannons, being made of metal. However, soldiers of the Hand are clad in white armor, reminiscent of a plastic–like material, looking semi–metallic; but the Hand's armor is by no means bullet or shatter proof. The armor is mostly to establish military prowess and a certain fear factor that dehumanizes the soldiers of the Hand, making them seem as automatons that only share a common goal of destroying the enemy and following orders.The Blue Rangers consist of thirty three volunteers, at their full strength (currently thirty two), of mostly middle–aged and older rugged men, with a few younger lads.Jude and Jones make quite the exceptional duo, even in extreme occasional scenarios; But the question remains to be seen, can they succeed in defeating the Hand and restoring freedom to the colonies of Utalma?The Blue Rangers is a series of stories about the two characters above and their militia group and the battles they face together. It is not meant to propagate and paint war in a good manner, in fact, quite contrary.
